I received a challenge to do something consistently for 2 hours every single day. So far, my best attempt is a 15 minutes that I’ve allocated to read something, sometimes a book and other times a short article.

But to think about it, it’s been a while since I dedicated to work on to something for more than one hour. It might be a good idea to try it again, try to retain and regain the ability to focus. As a side note, I am also trying to read several books at once as the attempt to fight the boredom of finishing a book that feels like I’m not going to finish it. Current reads are Musashi, Detective Conan, The Fault In Our Stars, and QED. Yes it was a mix between manga and fiction novels and actually I’m planning to add one more book to be read, it is still on its way being delivered: “Denyut Nadi Bumi” by Adam Bobbette. After this I may continue to a more serious book genre. This is simply an attempt to bring back the enjoyment of reading books in the midst of short-format content that hijacked the reward system inside the brain, creating an artificial sense of pleasure.

I can always try to start something again and again, finding a way that works as a propeler towards greater heights. I’ve learned my lesson of navigating without any preparation or even without a compass that can point out directions, encapsulated in the quote “fail to plan, plan to fail”. The goal remains the same, it is to navigate through the altitude to reach the higher sky.
